I've just created this thread to get contributions from forum users for a general review of the literature on cultural landscapes. What are the 'cultural landscape approaches' out there? What literature looks at specific methodological issues in the study of cultural landscapes? The outcome of this thread could be a static page on culturallandscapes.ca that could be a good reference for scholars and practitioners in the field.

Please post references (and papers if they are freely available on the web) and a short synopsis describing how they fit for you.
